Apple Store, end of line
This was the end of the line, basically stretching three blocks away from the front of the building I think later on it grew another block.

Second line
I discovered there were two lines to get in, one was the "overflow" line. It turns out that the first line got in first, then they let the second line in.

Apple Store, bicyclists?
A whole ton of bicyclists showed up riding down Huron, blocking traffic and making fun of people driving cars. They must have known the Mac fans would be here because they handed out pro-bicycle flyers that made references to "Think Different" (I didn't get a chance to see a flyer up close, so I'm not sure of more details).

Inside the Apple Store. Woohoo! It took me about an hour and a half to get in. This is on of the first things you see when you get inside--a glass staircase up to the second floor.

Here's a shot from underneath the glass staircase. It's blocked off by glass; I'm not sure why. Perhaps the glass supports the stairs?

Macs, iSights, and cameras are lined up on tables on either side of the 1st floor.

On the second floor at the top of the staircase, one can find a theater with seats, a screen, and a stage.

Here's a shot of the huge Apple window form the inside. Pretty cool! I took this shot by standing on a glass bridge that connects each side of the second floor.

A glass ceiling allows you to see up to the sky. Quite a nice touch.

A band actually started playing at the theater, you can barely see them in this shot.

Here's a shot of the Apple window and front doors from the outside. There were a ton of people there, and quite a few people just walking by on the street, wonder what was going on.

There was still a line to get in when I left at 8:30. I didn't check to see how far it went, but it was at least a block.

Outside on the left-hand side of the building there is a white Apple; I think it glows when it gets dark out.
